I just wanted to say a big Thank you for the phenomenal work your Engineers performed for the Hospital. They are truly experts in their field. They have been dedicated to this project and fined-tuned everything to meet our needs. We are so impressed, we are asking for some quotes on some upcoming projects as well. First we will look at them to give us a quote for setting up our 2nd SAN. Down the road, I would like to discuss implementing a Virtual Desktop (VDI) solution for our end users (not currently in our budget) but we want to make sure we plan with the appropriate individuals to make sure that we do budget for it correctly (probably in December/January). There are some other projects in the near future as well (that are budgeted) but we’ll have to see when we can look at those tasks (based on the priority given to us by our Executive leaders).

When we began working with you in September 2013 it was in the midst of a lot of change for us. Previously all of our IT infrastructure and support had been handled in house by our own staff. After meeting with you and a number of your competitors we selected PTS largely because of the good experience our sister company had working with you.
You took over our infrastructure immediately, without disruption to our remaining personnel, and made personal contact a priority to help our users adjust. Your staff immediately began to help us sort through what we had, what we needed to add or keep, and what we could do without. You helped us reduce costs quickly to meet our budget goal.
It is a testimony to the skill and experience of your team, particularly Employee 1 and Employee 2, that we were able to consolidate a number of servers, remove surplus hardware, upgrade our wireless, and replace and upgrade a number of workstations, all without any significant disruptions to our users. We particularly appreciate their efforts to maximize the usefulness our existing software and hardware with the same enthusiasm as a new solution, and even when things have not gone as expected we have always been able to count on the diligence of your staff for a timely resolution to the problem.

PTS has been our technology partner for many years and I would recommend them to anyone (and I have :)). They are smart, responsive and they allow us to sleep better at night knowing that we are in good hands in regards to technology.
As a non-profit agency, dollars matter. We have to make sure we get great value and Preferred Technology Solutions provides that to us. They manage our network for a fixed monthly fee and by doing so, we no longer have issues. And that is important.
We knew our equipment was getting real old and we knew that we needed to invest in new hardware. We met with their team and discussed different options with different price points. They took the time to explain each one and allowed us to understand the different technologies that we could use. And they made the business cases for each one, discussing the positives and negatives. In other words, they took the time to educate us rather than just pushing a solution down our throats.
At the end of 2012, we decided to implement a VMWare and IBM Virtualized environment. They discussed timelines with us and they understood that we needed to keep productivity up during the installation. They met their timelines and kept us informed all the way. And just as they said, what an improvement!!!
And I guess that as the Office Administrator, that is one of the many things I really like about our relationship. They communicate extremely well. There are many companies out there that sell computers and support networks. In my history I have found that most are not very good from an operational perspective. They may have a couple smart people on staff but their communication is lacking. And the lack of communication, at least with me and my associates, leads to frustration.
If a user has an issue, it is nice being able to call their helpdesk and having an actual person answer the phone. And not just a person, but someone who can actually is knowledgeable enough to help us quickly. This makes me happy as they are not coming up to me asking for assistance. I can actually concentrate on what I need to accomplish.

I work as the Network Administrator of Merchandising Client. Just like most companies, our Firm depends on our technology to operate and when we have issues, it negatively affects our productivity. As a Network Administrator, I get many calls from IT companies stating how good they are and how they will be the perfect partner for us. Neil Medwed mentioned to me that you were looking to move to an new IT vendor because you were not happy with your current vendor. We have just finished our transition to Preferred Technology from our previous vendor of over ten years that we painfully outgrew long ago. Our biggest fear with changing was the expense of moving to a new company and how much more it could cost (thinking our long term vendor was doing us a favor with our lower hourly rate). Turns out the hourly rate was lower, but not the time it took them to complete the work we needed. Overall, the value just wasn’t there. Now all I can say is I wish we met Neil sooner.
