We are in this together and we are here to help!!
I truly believe that in a crisis like this, we have two choices. One choice is to look at only the negatives and allow that to weigh you down. The second choice is to understand the negatives, put them in perspective, and determine ways to navigate through the negatives and find ways to create positives. Is the glass half empty or is the glass half full? Personally, I am a glass-half-full kind of person and hope that you can be as well.
It is my feeling that we will come together, as we always have, and rise from this stronger than ever before. I believe one of the positives of this negative is that we are holding our families closer and resetting our priorities. I believe that we are thinking a lot more about what is truly important in life and that those things are not material. They are your kids and your family. They are your friends and your pets. And they are your local community.
Many are taking the time to call extended family, the family that they haven’t talked to in a while, just to say hello and check in on them. And maybe, just maybe, we are appreciating all the freedoms that we do have, as some are temporarily taken away to help flatten the curve. Maybe prayer just became more important than ever.
I pray that each of you look at the glass as being half full, not empty. I pray that you and your family stay healthy and safe. And I pray that you are able to look beyond this temporary crisis and that you come back stronger than ever because of what we all have learned in the last few weeks.
