Solution Description

We developed the PTS NetManage Service to remotely support, monitor, manage and resolve problems with your information technology infrastructure, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A flexible offering, NetManage includes Fault Management, Performance Reporting, Core Security, Telephone Support, and Emergency Response depending on the level you select.

Traditional maintenance programs rely on the customer to call and report issues – typically after a problem occurs. PTS NetManage Service utilizes leading edge, predictive problem-solving technology that provides a means of finding problems before they occur, whether it is security vulnerability, event log entry, or an exceeded threshold. Preferred Technology Solutions automatically receives customized alerts when critical devices are close to exceeding capacity, enabling us to resolve a problem before your users experience service issues. More important, because we are constantly monitoring your infrastructure we also know immediately if the problem is a hardware issue and automatically dispatch the appropriate resource. Our unique trending capabilities also provide a means of proactively resolving complex or intermittent problems more efficiently.

PTS NetManage Service provides coverage for the following key areas:

  • Faults - continually monitors your network, system, and application environment, providing alerts based on pre-defined threshold limits that enable rapid identification of problems. All critical alerts result in immediate notification through paging and/or e-mail.
  • Assets - track IT assets by IP address, node name, and software image for capacity planning, maintenance, and accounting purposes.
  • Performance – monitors networks, systems, and applications, providing hourly, daily, and weekly performance reports on key IT metrics, such as CPU, memory, disk, and circuits. This enables rapid identification of potential problems, i.e., over-subscription before they impact network service.
  • Security - delivers detailed security scans, enabling rapid identification of potential security vulnerabilities that could affect critical business operations. Intrusion monitoring gives you the ability to document “who is doing what to whom” within host resources and effectively provide audit trails on the use of the “admin” password as well as access and privileges within a Windows computing environment.

Service Level Agreement

Preferred Technology Solutions supports your IT infrastructure by monitoring your selected devices (servers, switches, routers, and circuits) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Preferred Technology Solutions responds to all alerts based on the service package you select. The first thing that will happen is that attempts at resolution will be conducted remotely. On site engineering service will be dispatched for on-site service requirements automatically if remote attempts fail and you will be billed at our standard rates. After hours emergency service is available. Depending on which NetManage package you choose, on-site service may or may not be included. If a package is chosen that does not include on-site support, on-site hourly charges will apply for on-site work.

By having Preferred Technology Solutions proactively monitor your infrastructure we believe your involvement in troubleshooting and calling for service will be minimized. For the monitored devices in your IT environment, we will respond and repair issues before your users are aware that a potential problem exists.
